This Privacy Policy describes how HelloFeed, Inc. ("HelloFeed", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the HelloFeed.ai platform (the "Platform").
1. INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT
1.1 Account Information (Brand Customers)
Name, email address, company name, billing address
Payment information (processed by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers)
Platform usage data: login history, feature usage, campaign configurations
Brand assets uploaded to the Platform (logos, product images)
1.2 Testimonial Data
When Your customers submit testimonials through the Platform, we receive and store the following on Your behalf:
Video and/or text content submitted by Your customers
Name and email address provided during submission
Device and browser information (IP address, user agent)
Important: You (the Brand) are the data controller for Your customers' testimonial data. We process this data on Your behalf as a data processor. You are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents from Your customers before they submit data through the Platform.
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
Server logs, cookies, and similar technologies
Analytics data (page views, session duration, feature engagement)
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform
Process subscription payments
Process license fee payments between Brands and their customers (via Stripe)
Store and deliver testimonial content to Brands
Generate AI-powered enhancements (captions, transcriptions, sentiment scores)
Communicate with You about Your account and platform updates
Generate anonymized, aggregated analytics for product improvement
Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax reporting)
Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
3. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
With Brands: Testimonial content and submitter contact information are provided to the Brand that invited the customer to submit.
Service Providers: We share data with providers who help operate the Platform: cloud hosting, payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, and analytics. These providers process data under contractual obligations.
Legal Compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order.
Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for interest-based advertising.
4. OUR ROLE AS DATA PROCESSOR
With respect to testimonial data submitted by Your customers, HelloFeed acts as a data processor on Your behalf. You (the Brand) are the data controller. This means:
You determine the purposes and means of processing Your customers' data;
You are responsible for providing legally required notices to Your customers;
You are responsible for obtaining all required consents;
We process testimonial data only as necessary to provide the Platform services to You; and
We will assist You in responding to data subject access requests to the extent the data is in our systems.
5. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
Deletion: Request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements
Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): Right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.
EEA/UK residents (GDPR): Additional rights to restrict processing, object, and withdraw consent. Legal bases: contract performance (account management), legitimate interest (analytics, fraud prevention).

6. DATA SECURITY
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, regular security audits, and employee training. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. DATA RETENTION
Account data: duration of account plus 2 years
Testimonial content: retained while Your account is active, or until You or Your customer requests deletion
Payment records: 7 years (tax compliance)
Server logs: 90 days
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have, we will promptly delete it.
9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
If You are located outside the United States, Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We use Standard Contractual Clauses and other approved mechanisms where required.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect.
